CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

Down town at headquarters the scene was hectic. Due to the death of four officers authorities had beefed up a task force. Their sole purpose was to bring down the so called Youngbloodz gang. The tasks were being issued automatic weapons and high tech riot gear. They were ordered to shoot to kill. There was also talk, about the feds coming in. Even the mayor had made a speech, asking that the citizens of Collegetown lend a hand and help the agencies bring down the gang that was now responsible for over fifty deaths and a much greater toll of injury victims. The two dead Youngbloodz had been identified as seventeen year olds Louis Lynch and Sampson Pleasure. Lynch's parents hadn't seen him for months. A search of his room turned up four handguns and $18,000 cash. While Pleasure's folks had seen him daily.

They knew nothing about his involvement with the Youngbloodz gang. A search of his room turned up $23,000 cash and two handguns. None of the weapons recovered from the dead suspect were connected to any of the spree of killings. Detectives questioned the parents of

both suspects, trying to find links to other Youngblood members. So far things in this regard were fruitless.

Tanner sat in his unmarked vehicle in the lot of a local eatery. After wolfing down an egg and cheese. He dialed a missed call, hoping to gain some valuable information that would lead him to the Youngbloodz.The feds were watching this situation closely. It wouldn't be long before

they would come into Collegetown and take the situation into their hands. Tanner not only hated the feds. He also feared them. There was no telling what could happen once they commenced their investigation. Some of the investigation may even lead to his evil doings. But hopefully he could get a break. in the case and end it before hand.

"Hello?" The male voice answered.

"Hey, this is, Tanner. I missed your calls. I was in a meeting. What happened to yesterday's payment? I check. It wasn't there. You left a bag of dope what's the meaning of that?"

"I just found out some deep shit. That bag I left you? It's called, coma!"

"And what does that have to do with any of this?"

"The man who pushing that bag goes by the name, Youngblood."

Tanner was filled with surprise. "So, you think he's tied in with the Youngloodz gang?"

"I'm almost certain. But I ain't put a face to the name yet. Don't

worry. I'm workin on it."

"So, how did you come up with this, Youngblood, in the first place? Your not making any sense here. I'm getting you, but then I'm not getting nothing!"

''Alright, listen. This chick that works for me told me this kid, Youngblood, gave her some shit to push." Boss said. .

"And where's this chick at now?"

"She's up in Kingston projects. Apartment 3D. Am I making any sense now?"

"Sort of. What's this female name?" Tanner asked, writing, on a pad.

"Mika. I don't know her last name. I don't even know if Mika's her name.
